Glen Rock Shooting Stars
Charter Member of Northern Counties Soccer Association
Welcome to the Web site for the Glen Rock Shooting Stars. Our Club pursues one overarching focus: to help our players build and develop skills for the future.
To that end, we’ve structured our program to provide our players with the best possible training opportunities, building not only soccer skills, but a general sense of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship and overall confidence. We are the only Club in the area to supplement team training with small group skills, conditioning/agility sessions for our “elite” players who want additional training.
Together with our training partners, UK Elite Soccer, we sponsor programs for 3-5 year olds, the Indoor Winter League for K-3rd graders, the Challenger Soccer program for children with special needs, along with our summer camps, clinics and Winter training.
We also provide training and educational opportunities for our parent coaches. Seminars and clinics are presented at selected meetings by UK Elite Director Craig McGinn and Assistant Manager Martyn White. We also offer the new NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) to help our coaches learn the latest coaching techniques and develop a greater appreciation for the game.
But as we work to “build for the future,” we never lose sight of why we’re offering these programs: our kids, more than 400 in all. We will always continue to motivate and inspire our players, acknowledge their efforts and their accomplishments as they move through the “ranks” of youth soccer.
Indoor Soccer Program Starts on January 11th
Children in Grades K-3 are eligible
